Caribbean Trust Company (Nevis) Limited is a Company incorporated locally
under the Companies Act, Cap: 335 of the Federation of St. Christopher
(St. Kitts) and Nevis, West Indies, and has its office in Charlestown,
Nevis. It is family-owned and is a member of the St. Kitts and Nevis
Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
The company was founded in 1995 by the present Chairman John Titley (who in 1999 became Lord Titley of Somers Heath,
Essex in the UK) who had spent over 33 years in commercial banking in
various territories in the Caribbean area with Barclays Bank PLC, and has
lived on Nevis since 1982.
After
retirement from Barclays he managed for six years the first offshore
management service provider in Nevis, leaving eventually to form Caribbean Trust Company. He is a past President of the Nevis Historical & Conservation
Society as well as a past President of the Guyana Lawn Tennis Association
1972/73 and more recently past President of the Nevis Lawn Tennis
Association 1993/98. He was a founder member of the Guyana Chess
Association and Captain of their Chess team and was also the Guyana
representative of the U.K.- based West India Committee for six years up to
1982. John retired as Managing Director of the Company in May 2006.
Lady Elaine Titley, wife of the founder, is a Director and the Company
Secretary. She is also currently the President of the St. Kitts and Nevis
Girl Guides Association, the Treasurer of the Alexandra Hospital and
Infirmary Auxiliary Society, sits on the Executive Board of the Nevis
Historical & Conservation Society, and represents our company on the Nevis
Chamber of Industry & Commerce where she sits on the "Charming
Charlestown" Committee. She is also deeply involved with the Catholic
Church Choir and the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
They have five sons.
Andrew Titley, their eldest son, is Managing Director, a position he took over when John retired in May 2006. Andrew joined the company in 1996, bringing with
him much needed skills in computerisation and financial management. He has
a background of over 15 years in the Accounting field, of which twelve of
them were in the Hotel Industry. His last position was that of Financial
Controller of Jack Tar Village Resort, the largest Resort in St. Kitts and
part of the Jack Tar Village Resort Chain based in Dallas, Texas, where he
was the youngest Financial Controller appointed by the Jack Tar Village
Group in any one of their Resorts.
Their second son, Peter, is a non-executive Director and presently resides in Baton
Rouge, Louisana where he is employed in the Hotel business.
